Peace by Depeche Mode

Lyrics
Peace will come to me
Peace will come to me

I'm leaving bitterness behind
This time I'm cleaning up my mind
There is no space for the regrets
I will remember to forget

Just look at me
I am walking of incoming
Look at the frequencies of which I vibrate
I'm going to light up the world

Peace will come to me
Peace will come to me

I'm leaving anger in the past
With all the shadows that it caused
There is radar in my heart
I should have trusted from the start

Just look at me
I am a living act of holiness
Giving all the positive virtues that I possess
I'm going to light up the world

Peace will come to me
Just wait and see
Peace will come to me
It's meant to be

Peace will come to me
Just wait and see
Peace will come to me
It's inevitability

No bravery by James Blunt

A touching and heartfelt antiwar song.

James Blunt - No Bravery Lyrics

There are children standing here,
Arms outstretched into the sky,
Tears drying on their face.
He has been here.
Brothers lie in shallow graves.
Fathers lost without a trace.
A nation blind to their disgrace,
Since he's been here.

And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.

Houses burnt beyond repair.
The smell of death is in the air.
A woman weeping in despair says,
He has been here.
Tracer lighting up the sky.
It's another families' turn to die.
A child afraid to even cry out says,
He has been here.

And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.

There are children standing here,
Arms outstretched into the sky,
But no one asks the question why,
He has been here.
Old men kneel and accept their fate.
Wives and daughters cut and raped.
A generation drenched in hate.
Yes, he has been here.

And I see no bravery,
No bravery in your eyes anymore.
Only sadness.

All you need is LOVE- The Beatles

Lennon/McCartney

Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It's easy.
There's nothing you can make that can't be made.
No one you can save that can't be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you
in time - It's easy.

All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
There's nothing you can know that isn't known.
Nothing you can see that isn't shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be.
It's easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
All you need is love (all together now)
All you need is love (everybody)
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.

Thursday, 1 July 2010

The world I dreamed/ El mundo que soñe

How often have I thought about
That my world is upside down
Towards a sea-bottom of lies and
Hypocrisies
How many times I would have wanted
to help in this world of mine
To all those who die and suffer as you

The world I dreamed about,
Will have a thousand hearts
In order to beat
It will have a million of lovers
The world I dreamed about
It will have a million flowers,
Thousand children who will be
Tomorrow, great men
With eyes wide open they will look,
You will save them

For those adored by the sun itself,
There are no races, colors arent needed,
Because the heart is put by the same
Your God and mine
For those who smile
Because the fortune that gives no warning,
revelates that in the morning its you to be seen

The world I dreamed about,
Will be lived in colours
I will never listen again
Cannon fires
The world I dreamed about,
will have more justice
For all those that war is their news
With eyes wide open they will stare,
You will save them

How to ignore, how can we be
indiferent like this
still like this
With those children who never will grow up,
How can it be that we listen without emotion

Let´s give something to the world
A lot of love and peace
The world that I dreamed about, oh, oh, oh ...

The world I dreamed about,
Would have hearts
The world I dreamed about,
It would be called love
If you walk holding my hands you can see
The world I dreamed about...

Peace on Earth by U2

Heaven on Earth
We need it now
I'm sick of all of this
Hanging around
Sick of sorrow
Sick of pain
Sick of hearing again and again
That there's gonna be
Peace on Earth

Where I grew up
There weren't many trees
Where there was we'd tear them down
And use them on our enemies
They say that what you mock
Will surely overtake you
And you become a monster
So the monster will not break you

It's already gone too far
Who said that if you go in hard
You won't get hurt

Jesus could you take the time
To throw a drowning man a line
Peace on Earth
Tell the ones who hear no sound
Whose sons are living in the ground
Peace on Earth
No whos or whys
No-one cries like a mother cries
For peace on Earth
She never got to say goodbye
To see the colour in his eyes
Now he's in the dirt
Peace on Earth

They're reading names out over the radio
All the folks the rest of us won't get to know
Sean and Julia, Gareth, Ann and Breda
Their lives are bigger, than any big idea

Jesus can you take the time
To throw a drowning man a line
Peace on Earth
To tell the ones who hear no sound
Whose sons are living in the ground
Peace on Earth

Jesus this song you wrote
The words are sticking in my throat
Peace on Earth
Hear it every Christmas time
But hope and history won't rhyme
So what's it worth?
This peace on Earth

Peace on Earth
Peace on Earth
Peace on Earth

Mother Theresa- Do it anyway!

A call for World Peace
PEACE TODAY music by Faith Rivera
From the CD "Maluhia ~ Everyday Peace"
___________ Lyrics ____________
Peace is the promise I make today
There's nothing greater for me to say
Than to lay down my fears
Lay down unhappiness
And surrender to
The peace I choose today

Peace is the gift that I give today
No easy shortcut, Peace is the way
I will lay down my pride
Lay down self-righteousness
And surrender to
The peace I choose today

My all, I give My love for all

Peace is the reason we're here today
No accident, we've been by name
Called to lay down our lives
Stand up for greater good
And surrender to the peace we choose today

Peace, we choose - today
Peace, we bring - today
Peace, we live oh-today

Peace today

Damien Rice- Unplayed Piano, a song for Aung San Suu Kyi

Damien Rice is an Irish songwriter that visited Burma in July 2004, after his visit, he wrote "Unplayed Piano" with Lisa Hannigan a song for Aung San Suu Kyi.
The single was released in 2005.

Damien Rice said, “I prefer not to interfere too much with what is going on in the world, but when someone has been thrown into a hole and they ask you to throw down a rope, I am happy to look for a rope, especially for a woman of such grace.”

On June 19th 2009, Burma's democracy leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, celebrated her 64th birthday. She spent her birthday alone under house arrest. She has been in detention now for more than 15years. Her phone line is cut and her post is intercepted. Armed soldiers do not allow visitors to come close to Aung San Suu Kyi.

Come and see me
Sing me to sleep
Come and free me
Or hold me if i need to weep
Or maybe it's not the season
Or maybe it's not the year
Or maybe there's no good reason
Why i'm locked up inside
Just cause they wanna hide me
The moon goes bright
The darker they make my night

Unplayed pianos
Are often by a window
In a room where nobody loved goes
She sits alone with her silent song
Somebody bring her home

Unplayed piano (unplayed piano)
Still holds a tune (still holds a tune)
Lock on the lid (years, years pass by)
In a stale, stale room (in the changing of the moon)
Maybe it's not that easy (too many windows)
Or maybe it's not that hard (in a stale, stale room)
Maybe they could release me (stale, stale room)
Let the people decide
I've got nothing to hide
I've done nothing wrong
So why've i been here so long?

Unplayed pianos
Are often by a window
In a room where nobody loved goes
She sits alone with her silent song
Somebody bring her home

Unplayed pianos
Are often by a window
In a room where nobody loved goes
She sits alone with her silent song
Somebody bring her home

Unplayed piano (unplayed piano)
Still holds a tune
Years pass by
In the changing of the moon
